LCD IPS 1.54” Display (ER-TFT1.54-2) from EastRising Technology is a compact, high-quality screen designed for applications requiring clear and vivid visuals. It is based on the ST7789V controller and features an 15-pin FPC connector for secure and reliable integration. With a 240×240 resolution, IPS technology, a wide 80° viewing angle, and a brightness of 400 cd/m², this display delivers sharp and vibrant images while maintaining efficient power consumption. Though not sunlight-readable, it ensures excellent performance under standard lighting conditions. How does it work?
LCD IPS 1.54” Display (ER-TFT1.54-2) from EastRising Technology is a compact and high-quality TFT LCD display designed for applications where clear and vivid visuals are required. This model does not feature a touch panel, making it a suitable choice for projects that prioritize display quality without the need for touch interaction. With a resolution of 240×240 pixels, this display offers sharp and detailed visuals within its compact size. It uses an FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) connector with an 15-pin 0.3mm pitch, specifically designed for a Top Contact ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) connector, ensuring a reliable and secure connection. However, it is not designed for optimal visibility in direct sunlight.
Mechanically, the display has a diagonal measurement of 1.54 inches, with a visual area of 28.72mm in width and 28.72mm in height. The active display area measures 27.72mm by 27.72mm, and the dot pitch is precisely 0.1155mm in both width and height, contributing to the overall clarity of the display. From an electrical perspective, this LCD module is powered by an ST7789V controller and communicates through a 4-wire serial SPI interface, offering efficient data transfer while maintaining a streamlined connection setup.
Optically, the display uses IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology, providing consistent color accuracy and a wide viewing angle of 80 degrees in all directions—left, right, up, and down. It supports multiple color depths, including 65k and 262k colors, allowing for vibrant and rich image reproduction. The display also features a typical contrast ratio of 500:1 and a brightness level of 400cd/m², ensuring clear visibility under standard lighting conditions.
Thanks to its small form factor and high-resolution display capabilities, this LCD is ideal for use in various applications, such as handheld devices, smart displays, and control panels where a crisp and high-quality visual output is essential.
