How does it work?
Smoke Chamber is an addition designed by Analog Devices for use alongside smoke and aerosol detection sensors. Analog Devices smoke chamber comes with a reference design so users can create a more positive smoke detection device with better verification results straight out of the box. This solution enables designers that do not have technical expertise in the area of smoke design or the time to create and test their custom smoke chamber.
It comes in a plastic stand circular shape of 11.5mm diameter (28x15x11.5 millimeters (L x W x H)) and attachable rivets or self-tapping screws for the chamber-board attachment, which helps control the environment around the smoke sensor. In this chamber, when smoke particles enter the light path, light strikes the particles and is reflected onto the photosensitive device alerting the microcontroller.
