RS485 Isolator click is an RS485 communication isolator and carries the ADM2682EBRIZ, a 5 kV rms signal and power isolated RS-485 transceiver.

The click is designed to run on either 3.3V or 5V power supply. It communicates with the target microcontroller over UART interface, with additional functionality provided by the RST and CS pin on the mikroBUS™ line.

RS485 Isolator click is a RS485 communication isolator, and carries the ADM2682E, a 5 kV rms signal and power isolated RS-485 transceiver, from Analog Devices. The click is designed to run on either 3.3V or 5V power supply. It communicates with the target microcontroller over UART interface, with additional functionality provided by the RST and CS pin on the mikroBUS™ line.

Use the click for isolating RS485 communication, and preventing voltage spikes from destroying sensitive equipment.

ADM2682EBRIZ transceiver features

The ADM2682EBRIZ is a fully integrated 5 kV rms signal and power isolated data transceiver with ±15 kV ESD protection that is suitable for high-speed communication on multipoint transmission lines. The ADM2682EBRIZ includes an integrated 5 kV rms isolated dc-to-dc power supply that eliminates the need for an external dc-to-dc isolation block.
