How does it work?

LCD IPS 1.65” Display (ER-TFT1.65-2) is a compact 1.65-inch bar-type IPS TFT LCD display panel from EastRising offering a resolution of 142×428 pixels, ideal for applications requiring high pixel density in a narrow form factor. This display delivers a vivid and detailed image thanks to its 700:1 contrast ratio and support for 65K to 262K colors, enabling sharp and vibrant visuals suitable for both graphic and text content. The IPS technology ensures consistent color reproduction and excellent visibility from all directions, with a wide viewing angle of 80 degrees in all directions (left, right, up, and down). Designed with a typical brightness of 350cd/m², the display maintains clear visibility even in brightly lit conditions.

It integrates the NV3007 controller and utilizes a 4-wire SPI interface for high-speed data communication, making it suitable for low-pin-count MCU-based systems. The connection is handled via a soldering-type FPC, allowing for direct soldering to a PCB or optional use of a plug-in soldering FPC connector for more flexible integration. With a compact outline dimension of 16.30mm in width, 44.96mm in height, and a slim 2.2mm thickness, it offers a visual area of 13.76×40.28mm and an active display area of 13.16×39.68mm, featuring a fine pixel pitch of 0.09×0.09mm for sharp image rendering.

The display employs a chip-on-glass (COG) package and is powered by a typical voltage supply of 2.8V. While it does not support touch input or enhanced sunlight readability, its form factor and performance characteristics make it particularly suitable for wearable technology such as smartwatches and fitness trackers, as well as in medical devices like blood pressure monitors, glucose meters, and patient monitoring systems where compact size and visual clarity are essential.
